From darkness to the explosion of light
Dawning of day from the night’s flight
Cotton candy clouds of brilliant red
The foundation of heaven’s bed
A few hours earlier, the clouds were dark
Difference that couldn’t be more stark
Threatening and intimidating
Hiding, frightening, berating
The power of the sun
Pushing the curtain back
Turns the same clouds
Into crimson attack
The warmth and the light
Dispelling the night
Ends the grey
And dawns a new day
